Apply | WKU Apartments
The application for an on-campus apartment is a separate application from applying for a residence hall room. If you are a current on-campus resident and are planning on living on campus during the upcoming academic year, regardless of WKU apartment application status, please ensure that you also re-apply for on-campus housing in February/March during housing renewal.
During the fall semester, apartment applications are accepted October 1st through October 14th.
During the spring semester, apartment applications are accepted February 1st through February 14th.
The WKU Apartment application is available on the Housing Portal.
Once you access the Housing Portal, choose "Apply for Housing" from the main menu on the top navigation to begin your application. Select the appropriate term and choose "Apply." Follow the prompts.
Students will sign an individual lease upon receiving notification via email that their application has been received and an apartment is being offered to them and a monetary deposit has been received to hold the apartment.
Applications will be given priority based on the date received.
Offers for apartments are made by email. Correspondence will be sent to the student's WKU email address. Applicants are to respond through their WKU email.
To accept an offer, the applicant must respond to email@example.com by date stated in offer and without delay. The appropriate leasing personnel must receive the required documents and monetary consideration as stated in the offer, or the offer will be considered void.
A $150 deposit is required upon acceptance. If you currently live on campus, your deposit will automatically roll over from your residence hall.
** Students with a past due account at WKU at the time of leasing will not be offered an apartment. Bills must be paid in full before an apartment can be offered. Contact the Office of the Bursar at (270)745-6381 if you have questions about your bill.
After the apartments are full, the remaining applicants will be placed on a waiting list that is active for the semester. The waiting list does not roll over each semester; students must apply each term to be eligible to live in the apartments.
Changing Accommodation Preferences
After submitting an initial application, some applicants may consider changing their accommodation preferences. If you would like to request a change, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
Many properties are accessible for students with disabilities. If you have special needs because of a disability, you must note this on your application. The Student Accessibility Resource Center can help you with more information and resources.
