Submit a Housing Maintenance Request
Need a Big Red Repair?
Submit a WKU Housing Maintenance Request through the WKU Housing Portal.
Routine maintenance requests can be submitted for your residence hall room or common areas (bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, community spaces, etc.).
Routine maintenance requests are monitored during regular business hours, Monday-Friday.
Examples of routine maintenance: light bulbs, pest control, leaking sink, etc.
How to Submit a Routine Maintenance Request
- Login to the WKU Housing Portal via my.wku.edu.
- Select "Submit a Housing Maintenance Request"
- Complete the maintenance request form
- Select "save and continue" to submit the form
You will receive an email update within one business day (Monday-Friday, excluding University holidays). Email updates will be provided as the work order is issued, in progress, and resolved.
Maintenance requests are scheduled and responded to based on severity. Routine requests are typically resolved within three (3) business days. Repair time will vary.
If your issue has not been corrected, or if you have not received any status updates within the timeframes detailed above, please contact your hall director.

If a maintenance issue is immediately endangering someone’s physical safety or property, please CONTACT THE FRONT DESK of your residence hall immediately.
Emergency maintenance examples: broken pipes or uncontrollable leaks, building-wide power outages, failed security or safety devices (i.e. locks), etc.
Emergency Maintenance Timeline
University personnel will respond to campus in less than one hour to determine initial response and corrective actions.
Repair time will vary.
Urgent Maintenance Timeline
Urgent requests (HVAC issues, tripped breakers, smoke-alarm batteries, etc.) that have occurred after 4:30 PM weekdays or on the weekends should be reported to your residence hall front desk. On-call technicians will respond in less than four (4) hours. Repair time will vary.
For emergency maintenance requests, the front desk staff will contact the WKU Department of Facilities Management, (270)745-3253 during regular business hours. After hours, the WKU Police Department, (270)745-2548, will be contacted.

2. Visit CSC Service Works online and report the machine ID, or
