The voluntary wearing of protective face coverings by individuals is not affected by the expiration of the public health emergency. Supplies of KN-95 masks remain available through Environmental Health & Safety while supplies last.

Faculty, staff, students, or campus organizations may pick up masks at the EH&S Office located at the rear of the South Chestnut Parking Lot during normal business hours Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.

However, no requirements for face coverings or masks shall be imposed outside of medical and other clinical settings or laboratories where personal protective equipment is prescribed due to hazards related to the functions being performed.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces within your room.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

All full-time undergraduate students are required to live on campus for two years. Some exemptions apply. Students can learn more about the required housing policy and the exemption request process at https://www.wku.edu/housing/apply/requirement-exemptions.php

WKU Housing & Residence Life does not require students who test positive for COVID-19 to isolate or quarantine off campus or in a separate space on campus.

Residents and their families are encouraged to create plans for managing care and safety if you are exposed to or test positive for COVID-19. Options include isolating in your room or returning home. If you choose to isolate in your residence hall room, masking in public areas is still required. Additionally, roommates are encouraged to discuss how issues related to COVID-19, flu and other illnesses will be handled within their space.
