PostSecret is an online blog that encourages people to share their dreams, fears, lusts, quirks, and any secret in an anonymous fashion. Those who choose to share a secret find relief and acceptance in revealing their secret(s) because they no longer have to allow the secret to burden them and they often find others who share in their situation.

In Minton, we'll provide cards for you to share your secrets! Then we'll post them on the bulletin board!

It's a Thanksgiving Potluck! We'll bring the turkey, dressing, and applie pie - feel free to bring something to share!

Sign-ups will take place November 1^st-November 9^th. Throughout the tournament we will do a drawing for ten lucky residents to get a “home cooked meal” from the Hall Directors. The two teams that win the tournament will be representing Barnes Campbell in the PFT vs Barnes Campbell Spades Tournament.

The RA’s will be collaborating with the Bowling Green Police Department to set up a class to help inform and demonstrate how to handle assault situations, primarily with sexual assault.  The class is a few hours and it is spread out over three days.

Bring your own items to tie dye, we'll supply the rest! Learn how to tie dye and how it works!

Learn cooking techniques, food safety, and terminology while preparing a three course meal. Then we'll eat together!

The lobby cores will be changed and no one will be allowed into the halls after Noon on Wednesday. Please make sure you follow closedown procedures in your room before you leave for the break.

Procedures for Bates Runner Hall, Douglas Keen Hall, Gilbert Hall, McCormack Hall, Mclean Hall, Meredith Hall, Northeast Hall, Rodes Harlin Hall, Southwest Hall, and Zacharias Hall:

1. Throw away all trash
2. Wash dishes
3. Unplug everything except the refrigerator
4. Set room temperature on 65 degrees and the fan speed in auto mode
5. Close and lock windows
6. Turn off room lights
7. Lock your door

Procedures for Bemis Lawrence Hall, Barnes Campbell Hall, Hugh Poland Hall, and Minton Hall:

1. Throw away all trash
2. Wash Dishes
3. Unplug everything except the refrigerator
4. Set room temperature at halfway between blue and red with the fan speed on low
5. Close and lock windows
6. Turn off room lights
7. Lock your door

Procedures for Pearce Ford Tower:

PFT will remain open during the Thanksgiving Break. The building will be relatively empty so please take these precautions to ensure your room is safe and secure.

1. Throw away all trash
2. Wash dishes
3. Unplug everything except the refrigerator
4. Set room temperature on 65 degrees and fan speed in auto mode
5. Close and lock windows
6. Turn off room lights
7. Lock your door

It is getting close to finals, so it’s time to focus on those exams.  Staff will host study sessions throughout the building.  Each session will be focused on different classes such as math, science, economics, etc.  Each session will be lead by residents who have been identified within the building to excel in each area.

Challenge an RA to football trivia! If you stump the RA you'll be able to win a prize, or bank your points for a better prize!
