Transportation News

Spring Commencement is Thursday, May 7, 2026, in Houchens Industries L.T. Smith Stadium.  For details on the Commencement schedule, visit the Office of the Registrar’s Commencement page HERE.

Event Parking

• Parent and guest parking is available in Parking Structure 1 and Parking Structure 2.  Additional parking is available within walking distance in Creason Lot and Parking Structure 3. 
• First floor and fifth floor of Parking Structure 2 will be blocked off, no parking allowed. Any remaining vehicles will be cited and towed at owner’s expense.
• Disability parking is available in Parking Structure 1, Parking Structure 2, and Diddle North Lot.   
• Additional overflow parking within walking distance is available throughout campus.
• Graduate parking is available in Adams Street Lot, Kentucky Street Lot, Parking Structure 1, and Alumni Square Garage.  
• Graduates will assemble at the Kentucky Museum at 5:45 PM and will begin their last Topper Walk at 6:30 PM.
• South Lawn Lot is reserved starting at 12:00 PM. All vehicles must be cleared by 3:00 PM. Any remaining vehicles will be cited and towed at owner’s expense.
• Diddle South Lot is reserved starting at 3:00 PM. All vehicles must be cleared by 4:00 PM. Any remaining vehicles will be cited and towed at owner’s expense.

Road Closings

• College Heights Blvd will be closed:
• From Colonnade Drive to Schneider Lot from 5:00 PM until after the procession. 
• From Colonnade Drive to University Blvd from 6:15 PM until after the procession.
• Avenue of Champions will be closed from 5:00 PM until the conclusion of Big Red Bash.

Uber/Lyft/Additional Drop-off or Pick-up Locations

• Minton Hall (1595 Normal Street, Bowling Green, KY 42101)

• Regents Hall (1717 Normal Street, Bowling Green, KY  42101) 
• Diddle West Lot near US Bank entrance in Diddle Arena (320 University Blvd, Bowling Green, KY 42101)
