HSPB Bio
My name is Josh Gillespie, and I'm a sophomore here at WKU! I am serving as your co-secretary during the Fall semester, as I will be studying abroad in Florence, Italy in the Spring! HSPB played a monumental role in my transition to college, and I knew from the beginning that I wanted to be involved in this organization. I've loved playing a role in the MHC and contributing back to a community that has helped me in so many ways. HSPB is such a unique organization, and I hope to see you at our events!

Hi everyone! My name is Josh Gillespie, and I'm a sophomore at WKU from Elkton, KY. I'm a Corporate and Organizational Communication and Public Relations double major, with a minor in Psychology and a Strategic Communication certificate. I am also currently in the Organizational Communication JUMP program! I work in the Department of Communication as a Student Worker and I'm involved in other clubs on campus such as Honors Social Planning Board, PCAL Dean's Council of Students, and the Communication Organization for Graduate Students.
I came to WKU to find myself and my passions and I've certainly done that during my time here. The Mahurin Honors College has become a home away from home for me, and I'm so excited to have the opportunity to show you around! There is truly nothing that compares to the culture and community of the MHC, and I've relied on the support of staff, upperclassmen, and my fellow peers more times than I can count. While I know this is probably the most common advice given to incoming freshman, getting involved and staying busy is honestly what kept me sane during my first semester. I also strongly encourage you to take advantage of the resources provided for you on campus! In my spare time, I love to read, listen to music, play cards and board games with my friends, and hammock when it's nice outside!
