MHC Grants and Awards


Mahurin Honors College scholars are eligible to apply for a variety of grants to support out-of-classroom experiences, including but not limited to: study abroad, research, travel to academic conferences and internships. Application deadlines vary and can be found on the MHC homepage in the calendar.

 

Honors Travel Abroad Grant (HTAG)

HTAGs support honors scholar's intellectual development by encouraging and financially supporting participation in education abroad programs. Eligible programs include any program in another country in which scholars earn academic credit.

Honors Development Grant (HDG)

HDGs provide up to $500 to offset costs associated with academic research, travel to a professional conference to present an academic paper, and/or the purchase of materials to support academic endeavors. HDGs can only be used to support activities closely related to Mahurin Honors College (MHC) priorities (CE/T projects, research, internship, Honors Augmentation Contracts (HACs), travel to academic conferences). .

CE/T Excellence Award

CE/T Excellence Grants support CE/T projects that have the potential to make a significant contribution to their field.

Gatton Academy & Craft Academy Graduates Research and Experiential Learning Award

Exclusively for alumni of the Gatton Academy and the Craft Academy, this grant supports research, creative endeavors, experiential learning, and professional development activities.
