Honors Student Activities Council

HSAC - Honors Council - is structured with co-presidents and co-chairs who work collaboratively across focus areas to serve the full honors student body. HSAC co-chairs are expected to collaborate closely with one another, communicate proactively, and contribute to a shared vision of an inclusive, engaging, and well-connected honors community. Students selected for these roles will be required to hold and attend regular meetings with their student membership and also with each other at the executive level. Applications for co-chairs and co-presidents are available in January of each academic year.

Notes:

  • Co-Chair Eligibility: Applicants for co-chair positions must be in good academic standing with the MHC and be making sufficient progress in the MHC curriculum. Co-chairs are selected by an interview process which is held in the spring semester each year.
  • Membership Eligibility: Any MHC student may attend the general body meetings and join any committee except the HonorsToppers who require an additional application for membership and training for their role. Committee membership is indicated by regularly attending meetings and volunteering to take on specific roles. Co-chairs may designated roles for members as needed to execute the event/task successfully. Each committee may organize its membership as fits the work of the group
