An Environmental U

Choosing a lifestyle of committed effort toward sustaining the Earth’s natural environment. Environmental wellness inspires us to live a lifestyle that is respectful of our surroundings. This dimension encourages us to live in harmony with the Earth by taking action to protect it An environmentally well person is aware of the limits of the earth's natural resources and understands that all human activity impacts the environment.

Tips on Improving Environmental Wellness

  1. Conserve Energy (shut off your lights, faucets, air conditioning)
  2. Recycle paper, glass and cans
  3. Use recyclable bags when grocery shopping
  4. Ride your bike or walk to class rather than drive
  5. Attend an Outdoor Recreation Adventure Center (ORAC) trip
  6. Volunteer for environmental projects on campus and in the community (WKU Recycling Center, Leadership and Volunteerism)
  7. Surround yourself in a positive environment with optimistic people
