Licensure

There are some academic programs at WKU that may lead to professional licensure. Professional licensure refers to specific standards required to legally practice in a profession. Each U.S. state and territory has established requirements for licenses (certifications, endorsements, etc.) for certain professions that may differ from Kentucky’s requirements. WKU is actively researching out-of-state licensure information to determine whether or not our academic programs meet the educational requirements in a particular state or territory.

WKU makes every effort to ensure licensure information is correct. This site is reviewed and updated in July of each year. However, please note that regulations may be subject to changes at any given time. Once WKU has been made aware of any changes, we will promptly notify students so they will have access to the most up-to-date and accurate information about their academic program.
