Speech-Language Pathology

This state requires applicants pursuing licensure must have graduated with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). WKU’s Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology is accredited by the Council of Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and meets the graduate coursework and clinical standards for CCC-SLP and leads to students being able to apply for the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.

Additional requirements for state licensure may include background checks, official transcripts, fees, additional coursework, training, experience, and jurisprudence and board examination results.
