The Nutrition & Dietetics program at WKU is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The program fulfills one of the steps required to become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). Most state licensure requirements are fulfilled by the RDN credential. However, each state board may have additional requirements for licensure. Students should consult the appropriate state board for more information.

Additional requirements for state licensure may include background checks, official transcripts, fees, additional coursework, training, experience, and jurisprudence and board examination results. For more details about licensing requirements and board contact information, please visit the North Dakota Board of Dietetic Practice website.
