WKU’s Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a concentration in Agricultural Education is accredited by the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). This program is designed to prepare students for licensure in Kentucky. Thus, we have not determined that this program will meet the educational requirements for teacher certification outside the state of Kentucky. Graduates of this program may be able to apply for certification in Michigan based on the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education (NASDTEC) and Certification Interstate Agreement (NIA), which Kentucky is a member.

Additional requirements for state certification may include background checks, official transcripts, fees, additional coursework, training, experience, and jurisprudence and board examination results. For more details about teacher certification requirements and board contact information, please visit the Michigan Department of Education website.
