Alcohol and Drugs
College students who drink excessively and abuse substances are more likely to smoke, have a low GPA, and skip class. This interactive presentation and support from WKU's health educators will help accomplish the following:
Students will be able to identify signs of alcohol abuse.
Students will be able to measure the standard serving size of an alcoholic drink.
Students will challenge assumptions regarding alcohol and substance abuse in college.
Students will recall ways to prevent giving into peer pressure.
Students will be able to explain how alcohol and other substance abuse can negatively affect health.
Students will be able to describe the relationship between alcohol and drugs and consent.
