The Kidcam Difference
For campers ages 5 through 13, the Spirit of Summer comes to life through the power of Kidcam Camp at Western Kentucky University. Kidcam at Camp Big Red will provide a summer camp experience for 9 weeks throughout the summer beginning June 5, and running Monday through Friday until August 4.
Kidcam’s weekly activities held at The Preston Center promote fun, fitness, friendship, and creativity. Campers celebrate a different theme each week, while incorporating a curriculum filled with sports, creative arts, STEM, team building games, life skills, talent shows, swimming and water play, along with 50 years of memorable Kidcam traditions.
It is all based on Kidcam Camp's mission: Through the Spirit of Summer, we build a powerful summer camp experience that inspires greatness, brings smiles to faces, and ensures personal growth.

Jimmie Lynn Rowan
Kidcam is very excited to introduce Jimmie Lynn as the Western Kentucky University Director for the 2023 Summer season. She will be joining us for his first year at Kidcam Camps.
As a WKU fan and Kentucky native, Jimmie Lynn is thrilled to serve as day camp director at Kidcam Camp Big Red. She has over 15 years of camp experience and loves making meaningful connections while celebrating diversity. Jimmie Lynn enjoys crafts, reading, music, gardening, and coffee. All of us at Kidcam Camp Big Red are looking forward to an awesome summer!

A non-refundable one-time Registration Fee of $50 for the first child and $45 for each additional child.
Registration fees are subject to change after April 1st based on camp enrollment.
Weekly Payments: Weekly tuition must be paid to secure a camper's place in a given week. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis and will close once spots in a week are full. If space remains, parents may register up until the Thursday prior to a week. Tuition payments must be made through your parent account online.
Campers may bring their breakfast, lunch, and snacks or set up a prepaid food account to purchase breakfast, two (2) snacks, and lunch daily.
Breakfast - $2.00 per day, per camper
Lunch – We will be continuing the tradition of Fresh as an option for lunch. The cost per day, per camper will be announced shortly.
Snacks - $2.00 per day, per camper
Campers will not be allowed to pay cash for breakfast, lunch, or snacks and will only be allowed to purchase food and/or drinks at camp if money is available in their prepaid food account.
Prepaid food accounts must be kept current. Lunch menus are provided weekly on the camp's Weekly Schedule or in the parent portal.
For safety reasons, glass bottled drinks are not allowed at camp. Box drinks, canned drinks, or plastic/insulated thermos are acceptable.
Before camp care is available as early as 7:00 AM at NO CHARGE.
After camp care is available at a rate of $4/ hour (siblings $2/ hour) and ends by 6:00 PM.
This is paid through the Prepaid Account.
Prepaid Food and Aftercare accounts are debit accounts to which you can add funds for the summer, or on an as-needed basis. Money is auto-deducted as it is used for either food or aftercare.
Prepaid funds are shared between campers on the same account.
Money may be applied toward balances due in either account if there are funds in one, and a balance due in another.
It is recommended to pay only what's expected to be used as refunds are not given on prepaid accounts. Funds will rollover to the following week and camp year.
Camp will be held Monday-Friday from 9:00AM - 3:00PM. For those needing it, before care begins at 7:00AM and after care will last until 6:00PM. While before care comes at no charge, after care fees are $4/hour (siblings $2/hour). Additional information can be located in the fees section.
Kidcam Camp is open to boys and girls, 5-13 years old. Campers MUST be 5 years or older before attending a Kidcam Camp.
Kidcam's engaging weekly themes are action-packed with activities that promote fun, fitness, friendship, and creativity each week.
"The Spirit of Summer" celebrates all that makes Kidcam's 50 years GREAT. Campers enjoy a different theme each week, while incorporating activities ranging from sports, arts, STEM, special activities, and water play.
Weekly schedules and any field trips will be posted online no later than the Friday prior to each week a camper attends.
