Delaware Game/Concert Early Campus Modifications
- Tuesday, September 15th, 2026
Dear Faculty and Staff,
Country music star Tyler Hubbard will perform a one-hour, FREE pregame concert on the Lower South Lawn prior to the Hilltoppers’ home football game vs. Delaware on Tuesday, October 27.
From his multi-platinum success with Florida Georgia Line to his remarkable solo career amassing more than two billion streams to date, Tyler Hubbard has established himself as one of country music’s biggest stars. His Gold-certified debut solo album, “Tyler Hubbard,” delivered back-to-back number one hits, including the 3x Platinum “5 Foot 9” and 2x Platinum “Dancin’ In The Country,” followed by “Back Then Right Now” and “Park,” making him the only country artist to launch two separate careers with four consecutive chart-toppers and bringing his career total to an extraordinary 23 number one songs.
While we look forward to sharing this exciting time together as a Hilltopper Family, it is important to plan ahead. Below is the concert/gameday timeline and additional details.

Beginning at 1:30 p.m., we are asking offices to operate with minimal staff and encourage employees choosing to leave campus to do so quickly. This will help with parking and traffic as we transition to event operations in support of the game. Those choosing to leave will not be charged vacation time.
-
Classes will continue as scheduled unless otherwise noted by the instructor. If you feel that your class location may be affected by the festivities, we would be happy to move the class up the Hill for the day. Please contact Jessica Steenbergen at jessica.steenbergen@wku.edu.
-
Lower South Lawn will open at 1:30 p.m. for the concert festivities, and space is available on a first-come basis. Pop-up tents for tailgating will be permitted on the perimeter of Lower South Lawn; space in the middle will be reserved and left open for those enjoying the concert.
-
Topper Walk will begin at 3:40 p.m.

The one-hour concert will begin at 4:30 p.m. with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m. at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.

As a reminder, all faculty and staff receive two free game tickets, two complimentary drinks (bottled water or soda) and two free food items (hotdog or popcorn) for this game. You can pick up your tickets and concession coupons at the Diddle Arena ticket office Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or on game day until noon.
