Fall 2026 Jazz Band Audition Information
Auditions are required for ALL students interested in participating in Jazz Band, including new AND returning jazz students.
Tuesday, August 25th, 2026, 1:30-3:40pm
Music Hall room 103 (Instrumental Rehearsal Hall)

Jazz Band Audition Repertoire: Basie- Straight Ahead (Sammy Nestico)
Clarinet = Begin the Beguine (Cole Porter, arr Jeff Hest)
Pick-ups to Rehearsal 5 – 21
2 measures before 105 to the end
Trombones = Pick-ups to LETTER [I] to End.
*your choice to play Trpt/Tbn 1 or 2

Plan to make arrangements with Dr. Herbert BEFORE your audition to assemble the drum set located in the Jazz Storage room.
