Techniques represented in Even Coverlets Get the Blues range from overshot, double weave, and tied-biederwand to hooked rug making.

WKU’s Cultural Enhancement Series and the Kentucky Museum host award winning artist Patrick Dougherty in October 2018 on WKU’s campus in Bowling Green, Ky. Dougherty created Highbrow, a sculpture made from intertwined tree saplings, on the Museum's front lawn.

Join us for a reception, awards, and hooding ceremony. Family and friends of graduates are invited.

Where: Kentucky Museum in the Kentucky Building (Reception: Community Gallery; Awards and Hooding: Kentucky Room)

We will join the Topper Walk outside of the Kentucky Museum at 5:15 pm.

Please RSVP with the number of guests who plan on attending to Donna Schulte (donna.schulte@wku.edu) by April 24, 2019.

Graduates should plan to arrive in front of the Kentucky Museum by 5:15 p.m.  Look for signage to gather with your respective academic college.

Western Kentucky University's Commencement Ceremony begins as all graduates join together representing their colleges to take their final walk down College Heights Blvd. before the conferring of their degrees.

Students will receive their Class of 2019 red towels to wave as they Topper Walk from the Kentucky Museum into L.T. Smith Stadium. Family and friends can watch the procession down the hill, then they will find their seats also in the family and friends sections of L.T. Smith Stadium.

Commencement will begin immediately following the seating of students into L.T. Smith Stadium.

Western Kentucky University's Commencement Ceremony will begin once students have been seated in L.T. Smith Stadium from the inaugural Topper Walk. During the Commencement Ceremony, each college will acknowledge their graduates, and President Timothy C. Caboni will present the graduates to the Board of Regents for the conferral of degrees.
