Department of Political Science
The Department of Political Science offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in four majors: Political Science, International Affairs, Professional Legal Studies, and Philosophy. In addition, the Department offers an undergraduate certificate in Paralegal Studies and minors in Political Science and Philosophy. The Department is also home to WKU's Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program where students can earn a Master's Degree and a Certificate in Local Government Administration.
Our students are leaders on campus and in the community. In addition to participating in departmental events and programs, they serve in student government, engage in undergraduate research, are active members of the Mahurin Honors College and WKU Greek system, and participate in other extracurricular activities across campus.
The Department prepares our graduates for employment success in the public, private, and non-profit sectors or to continue their education at graduate and law schools across the country. You will find our alumni making a difference in their community, throughout the state and region, and around the world.
