PCAL Advisor Resources


Academic advising is essential to fulfilling the teaching and learning mission of Western Kentucky University. At WKU, academic advising is required for all baccalaureate degree-seeking students until graduation. 

 


 

Registering for Classes

Eligible students are encouraged to register during the priority period according to the sequence below. Students (full-time and part-time) may register on their assigned date or thereafter whenever TopNet is available. Refer to the specific term's academic calendar for important dates affecting your registration.

If you are concerned that a student is intending to leave the institution, please complete the form linked above. A member of the Advising & Career Development Staff will reach out to the student regarding your concerns.

Honors Curriculum

    • Incoming Honors students should take 1-2 honors courses their first semester and should complete a total of 9 honors hours by the end of their first year.
