The annual 49-Hour Film Challenge begins. Inspired by the wildly popular international 48-Hour Film Project, it involves a random drawing of five elements (prop, character, genre, location and line of dialogue) followed by two days of filmmaking. But since our event occurs over the weekend of daylight saving time, ours is a 49-Hour Film Challenge.
This event is open to everyone – students, faculty, staff and the community at large. Professionals and rank amateurs. Anyone who wants to participate is welcome. The only caveat is that you must provide your own gear.
All of the details are here: http://www.49hourfilm.com/
Please come check it out, share with your friends, etc. And even if you can’t make it tonight, please stop by on Monday, to watch the finished films (and enjoy free pizza):
