For the 5th year, the Department of Facilities Management coordinated the Stadium Recycling Program - the program that reduces waste through recycling while investing in student organizations. In 2021/2022, DFM worked with 821 student volunteers completing 1,423 hours of service. Volunteers poured out 3,660 pounds of liquid, gathered 1,850 pounds of recycling, and disposed of 1,680 pounds of trash. Check out the full2021/2022 Stadium Recycling Program impact!

WKU is an AASHE Silver Rated Campus!
Every 3 years, WKU Facilities Management collaborates with the Office of Sustainability to complete the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education Report. This report comprehensively evaluates WKU's sustainability practices from multiple angles to award a final score. Facilities Management helps WKU be more sustainable with our green cleaning program, our recycling program and our energy management efforts. In 2019, WKU maintained it's score of being a silver rated campus. In the next report, we are going for gold!
