As a student, you may find a time where you need a little extra help in completing academic work, planning your schedule, connecting with faculty or staff, or planning what happens after graduation. WKU offers a variety of resources to assist in your pursuit of higher education. From tutoring to technology, these resources are designed to support your academic and intellectual engagement and enrich your experience as a student at WKU.

ACADEMIC COLLEGES

WKU is home to five academic colleges, which encompasses all of our majors and departments. Each academic college is led by a Dean. You will join members of your academic college for orientation, take classes alongside them, and celebrate your graduation at specific College Recognition Ceremonies. ACCESSIBILITY RESOURCES

The Student Accessibility Resource Center supports students with disabilities by providing access and opportunity.

BLACKBOARD

Blackboard  provides many tools and features to assist your learning journey, such as the course syllabus, access to course videos, and online discussion boards. It's important to check Blackboard frequently (at least 3 times each week) to stay up-to-date with important announcements.

 

CAREER & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Center for Career & Professional Development will assist you in preparing for the next steps after graduation. Career coaches can assist you with reviewing cover letters, resumes, or personal statements as you prepare for applications. Multiple on-campus career fairs occur throughout the year, bringing employers to campus. The team also provides workshops, presentations, and practice interviews for students.

CENTER FOR FINANCIAL SUCCESS SPONSORED BY ABOUND CU

Students can receive free peer to peer financial coaching sessions through the Center for Financial Success sponsored by Abound Credit Union. Led by trained Financial Success Coaches, these sessions explore topics such as budgeting, debt management, student loans, credit, and savings plans. 

 

COLLEGE TERMINOLOGY TO KNOW

WKU FirstGen, a resource for first-generation college students at WKU, provides a list of common college terminology to know. Visit their page to learn more and see additional resources for students.

 

IT HELPDESK

The IT Helpdesk can assist in troubleshooting technical problems and help you make the most of technology resources at WKU. 

 

LIBRARIES

WKU Libraries offers a variety of academic resources for all students, such as online databases, research guides, tutorials, and workshops. It is also home to many unique collections and primary source materials, such as University Archives and Special Collections Library

 

MILITARY & VETERAN STUDENT SERVICES

Military Student Services offers a variety of resources for students who are currently serving in the military, who are veterans, and their dependents. myWKU is a one-stop portal to all of your important links as a student. Sign in to myWKU once and have one click access to TopNet, Blackboard, TopperMail, and more. 

 

ONLINE LEARNING

Online learning enables students to reach their academic and professional goals with flexibility of time and space. Learn anytime from anywhere you choose with WKU Online's classes. Students can attend all online classes, or add online classes alongside in-person classes.

The Registration Guide is packed with useful information, such as priority registration dates, tuition and fee information, academic calendar information and more, as you plan your classes each semester.

 

SCHEDULE OF CLASSES

Search the complete schedule of classes to view available classes each semester. Classes are offered in multiple timeframes to fit your schedule: full semester, bi-term, and five week. 

 

SCHOLAR DEVELOPMENT

Housed within the Mahurin Honors College, the Office of Scholar Developmentchallenges students to dream big and assists them in making those dreams attainable. OSD helps Hilltoppers make more possible by increasing access to study abroad, research, professional experiences, and more. 

 

STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

WKU Student Financial Assistance offers resources to assist with the financial aid process, FAFSA forms, scholarships and aid available at WKU, and helpful checklists and timelines you will need throughout your time as a student.

TOPDOLLAR SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL

The WKU TOPDollar Scholarship Source allows you to search for various opportunities that exist and complete one General Scholarship Application to be eligible to be considered for scholarship opportunities at WKU.
