Advising
WKU's advising office provides a wide range of academic services to undergraduate students, including academic
advising activities among undergraduate colleges and academic departments for undergraduate
students.
Career Coaching
Career Services at WKU connects students and alumni to the resources and skills they need to drive their career development. Services include career coaching, résumé reviews, job fairs, and more.
College Readiness
WKU's college readiness efforts focus on outreach to improve college readiness, persistence
and degree completion for academically underprepared students. Their aim is to reduce
degree attainment gaps where they exist.
Best Expectations Program
BEP teaches students the importance of positive study habits, time management, and
provides academic support to help students be independent and successful learners.
Academic Warning Workshops
These one-time workshops offer students on Academic Warning information on how to
raise their GPA, while also learning the consequences of continued low academic achievement.
Academic Dismissal Process
Students continuing to perform at low level of academic achievement will be dismissed
from the University. This process is facilitated by the Advising and Career Development
Center.
Cornerstone
The Cornerstone Program is a retention initiative at WKU for under-prepared students
with two or more college readiness courses. It facilitates the adjustment to college, allowing students
to succeed academically in order to graduate.
