WKU's advising office provides a wide range of academic services to undergraduate students, including academic advising activities among undergraduate colleges and academic departments for undergraduate students.

Career Coaching

Career Services at WKU connects students and alumni to the resources and skills they need to drive their career development. Services include career coaching, résumé reviews, job fairs, and more.

College Readiness

WKU's college readiness efforts focus on outreach to improve college readiness, persistence and degree completion for academically underprepared students. Their aim is to reduce degree attainment gaps where they exist.

Best Expectations Program

BEP teaches students the importance of positive study habits, time management, and provides academic support to help students be independent and successful learners.

Academic Warning Workshops

These one-time workshops offer students on Academic Warning information on how to raise their GPA, while also learning the consequences of continued low academic achievement.

Academic Dismissal Process

Students continuing to perform at low level of academic achievement will be dismissed from the University. This process is facilitated by the Advising and Career Development Center.

The Cornerstone Program is a retention initiative at WKU for under-prepared students with two or more college readiness courses. It facilitates the adjustment to college, allowing students to succeed academically in order to graduate.
