WKU students eligible for funding through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act will soon have access to those funds.
The CARES Act provides emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus. More than 2,300 WKU students have responded to an email survey to determine eligibility as of Wednesday, according to Bryson Davis, Director of Student Financial Assistance at WKU. The remainder of the 9,240 total students who may qualify but have yet to respond, will receive follow-up emails encouraging them to complete the survey.
Davis said awarded funds will disbursed and available through students’ selected refund preference with Bank Mobile. Students anticipating CARES funding who have never selected a refund preference should do so. More information on refund preferences is available through the Bursar’s Office website.
