All students at Western Kentucky University are invited to submit abstracts for the 56th Annual Student Scholar Showcase, scheduled for April 11, 2026. The event allows students to present their research, creative work, and academic projects to the WKU community. The submission portal is open, and the abstract deadline is March 2, 2026.
Since 1970, the Student Scholar Showcase (formerly the Student Research Conference) has been a signature event celebrating student academic achievements. In 2026, WKU will mark the 56th edition with a diverse array of projects in multiple presentation formats.
How to Participate
Students must submit a Presentation Title, Type of Presentation, and a 200-word abstract summarizing their work at wku.edu/showcase/abstract.
Each student may submit one abstract as primary presenter (with up to three co-presenters). Presentation formats include oral papers, poster exhibits, pre-recorded performances, or videos. Abstracts require a faculty mentor to approve within the submission process.
