Enjoy food and an overview of the science of growing grapes (viticulture) and the science of making wine (enology). Learn about the varieties of wine grapes, how soil and climate affect grapes and wine, the history of wine and winemaking and the challenges and rewards of winemaking in Kentucky. Cost is $10, which includes presentation and a box lunch. Reservations are required in advance.
This event is sponsored by the Society for Lifelong Learning, a new, member driven organization at WKU for adult learners age 50 and up. Presenter for this event is Dr. Ed Stevens, Scholar-in-Residence, WKU Department of Chemistry.
