WKU offices in Bowling Green will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Classes Friday remain canceled and campuses in Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox remain closed Friday. Saturday classes in Bowling Green will proceed as scheduled. Here is a link to the University’s attendance policy during adverse weather conditions. Use caution and watch for slick spots on roads and walks.

Would you like to view our surplus furniture or equipment? Faculty and staff may arrange surplus viewings on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 7:00-9:30am and Tuesday, Thursdays from 7:30-11:30am. Any other time is by appointment only. Contact surplus.sales@wku.edu for more information.

Where We Are

We are currently located on the top floor of the Service and Supply Building, located at the intersection of University Blvd. and Russellville Road. Non-surplus staff and faculty are not permitted in surplus without surplus staff present. Please make arrangements to visit us during our open hours.

 

Mission Statement

The mission of the WKU Department of Recycling and Surplus is to promote a more sustainable WKU by reducing or eliminating solid waste generation and disposal. We will accomplish this by developing thoughtful purchasing strategies, increasing re-use of materials and equipment, providing convenient and effective opportunities to recycle, and conducting comprehensive outreach and education services.
