Diddle/Smith Recycling Program
Want to raise money for your organization? Consider volunteering for the Diddle/Smith Recycling Program! This program allows student and community organizations to raise money, earn service hours and practice teamwork all while supporting WKU's recycling program.
The Diddle/Smith Recycling Program engages student and community organizations through cleaning Diddle Arena or Smith Stadium after each home game -- Football and Men's and Women's basketball. Volunteers collect recyclables and landfilled waste left behind by the fans, pour liquids from beverage containers, sweep, mop, sanitize hard seats and bleachers, wipe down all handrails, scrape sticky residue, and remove all recycling and landfilled waste from the building. In exchange for cleaning Diddle Arena, organizations receive $500, and all volunteers receive 3-4 service hours, a free t-shirt and a meal from WKU Concessions. Cleaning Smith Staduim will earn volunteers $750-$1250 and 3-5 service hours.
