Fraternities Recycling during Tailgating Recycling Challenge

For the 2nd year, WKU is participating in the GameDay Recycling Challenge--a friendly-but-fierce national recycling competition against other colleges & universities.

Last year,  we collected over 20,000 lbs. of plastic bottles, aluminum cans, paper products, and cardboard! But we are determined to do even better this year! From the first 3 home games this year, we have collected and diverted over 7,500 pounds of recyclables from the landfill!

Way to go, Hilltoppers!

Fraternity Recycling Challenge

In addition to collecting recyclables throughout the game in the stadium, WKU Fraternities compete against one another in their own recycling competition on game days. This year, they have already collected and diverted over 900 pounds of recyclables from the landfill!
