Veterans Upward Bound alumnus wins $1,000 national scholarship

WKU Veterans Upward Bound alumnus Jacob Barker of Bowing Green recently was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the National Association of Veterans Upward Bound.
Barker was one of only six VUB students in the nation to win this prestigious award and is the 11th WKU student since 2004 to win a national scholarship.
Barker, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, is a junior agriculture major at WKU.
