WKU dedicated Jody Richards Hall on May 4. During its meeting on April 28, the WKU Board of Regents approved renaming Mass Media and Technology Hall to honor the longtime WKU supporter and state representative.
Richards, whose 14-year tenure as Speaker of the Kentucky House of Representatives was the longest in state history, was instrumental in securing state funding to construct MMTH and at least seven other buildings during his 42 years in office.
Richards and WKU President Gary A. Ransdell delivered remarks at the ceremony.
