Katherine Crider crowned WKU Homecoming queen

Katherine Crider of Dawson Springs was crowned WKU’s 2017 Homecoming queen on Saturday (Oct. 14).
Crider, the daughter of Jeff and Cindy Crider, is a Biology major and Chemistry minor and was sponsored by Delta Zeta and Pi Kappa Alpha. She was one of 28 candidates for Homecoming queen.
- First runner-up was Sally Smith of Hopkinsville, the daughter of Mary Catherine Smith and the late David C. Smith. She is a Chemistry major and Biophysics minor and was sponsored by Chi Omega, Lambda Chi Alpha and Alpha Gamma Rho.
- Second runner-up was Cathryn Ellis of Danville, the daughter of Charlie and Jana Ellis. She is a Spanish and Communication Studies major and was sponsored by Omega Phi Alpha and Sigma Phi Epsilon.
