Pregame concert: A free pregame concert by country star Jordan Davis will begin at 5 p.m. on the WKU South Lawn. The concert venue on Lower South Lawn opens at 4 p.m. More information

Gameday Information for Campus Community

  • Beginning at 2:30 p.m., WKU offices will operate with minimal staff and employees choosing to leave campus are encouraged to do so quickly to help with gameday parking and traffic. Classes will continue as scheduled. (Read more from Provost Robert "Bud" Fischer)
  • The Preston Health and Activities Center will close at 10 a.m. to accommodate concert production.
  • HAF reserved parking areas will open at 2:30 p.m. for tailgating.
  • Student tailgating will occur in The Valley from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 
  • Topper Walk will begin at 4:10 p.m.

Event Parking

Tailgating and Pre-Game Activities

  • Tailgating areas open at 2:30 PM
  • Topper Town opens at 2:30 PM at Centennial Plaza.
  • Topper Walk begins at 4:11 PM at Parking Structure 1.  

Disability and Public Parking with Complementary Shuttle Service

  • Transit service from parking lots to Houchens Industries L.T. Smith Stadium begin at 4:30 PM.  Service is suspended after kick-off and resumes at half-time until approximately one hour after game is over.  All Topper Transit buses are equipped to provide ADA service.
  • Disability parking is available in the Creason Lot next to the shuttle bus stop.  See Football Tailgating Map.
  • Free event parking is available in the following lots beginning at 2:30 PM: 
    • Creason Lot
    • Parking Structure 3
    • Adams Street Lot
    • Kentucky Street Lot
    • Alumni Square Garage
    • Russellville Rd West Lot

RV Parking

  • Reserved RV parking is available in the Service Supply Lot beginning at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, October 24.  Public RV parking is allowed in Creason Lot OZ zone on a first come, first served basis beginning at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, October 24. 
  • Driving lanes must remain open at all times.

 Reserved Parking

  • The following lots are reserved beginning at 12:00 PM and must be cleared by 2:30 PM on Tuesday, October 24: 
    • McCormack Lot
    • Parking Structure 1 Levels 1-3
      • H1 permits will be honored in Levels 4-7
    • Lots surrounding Diddle Arena
    • South Lawn Lot
    • Avenue of Champions Faculty/Staff parking

Road Closings, Pick-ups & Drop-offs

  • Avenue of Champions will close at 2:30 PM.  Only authorized event traffic and University service vehicles will be allowed through.
  • While these roads are closed, please use Regents Ave or Minton Circle for pick-ups and drop-offs.  Do not block traffic.
  • Reserved spaces for Clinical Services located on Regents Ave are not available for football game parking.
  • Topper Transit will not serve stops along the Avenue of Champions while the road is closed to event traffic.

Traffic Control

  • WKU and Bowling Green Police will begin directing event traffic away from campus late in the game as needed.

Public event on Tuesday 23 October to observe Earth's Moon through telescopes. Event begins 8:00 PM in KTH 1035, and after a 20-minute presentation guests will follow us to the roof of the building to use telescopes to observe the Moon. Thursday 26 October is our fallback date for weather.

The rain date should this event be cancelled for inclimate weather is Thursday, October 26.
