Dr. Eric Kondratieff wins major award

No seriously, Dr. Kondratieff was recently awarded the highly-coveted, often-hyphenate Coleman-Hawkins Grant, which will allow him to spend the next three years as the main historical consultant at excavations at recently discovered Roman ruins near the Golfo de Nicoya in Costa Rica. Really. It may sound unlikely, but it is totally true.
