Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame Class of 2026 Announced

The 18th class of The Louis B. Nunn Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame has been named. Joining in 2026, Katherine Cleary, Lana Green-Willis, and Dorothy McCubbin have been selected by a statewide committee. All three educators will be honored at the Hall of Fame ceremony on Friday, December 4 on WKU’s campus.
Mrs. Cleary (left) has taught at preschools and elementary schools in Monroe, Warren, Logan, and Allen counties over the past 23 years and counting.
Mrs. Green-Willis (center) taught Social Studies at Grayson County High School for 32 years.
Mrs. McCubbin (right) held a variety of educator and administrative roles in Barren County during her 37-year career and retirement.
Full biographies for all inductees will be released on December 4.
The Governor Louie B. Nunn Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame was established in 2000 through a generous gift from former Governor Nunn, aimed at honoring the essential contributions of Kentucky’s classroom teachers and their positive impact on the state’s economy.
