Welcome to The Hill for the Fall 2026 semester!

Parking and Transportation Services is sharing the following important reminders and service updates.

Parking Regulations

Normal parking enforcement will resume at the start of the semester:

• Housing parking: Enforcement begins Sunday, August 23, at 4:30 PM. Vehicles must display the appropriate housing permit for their assigned zone or lot.
• Faculty/Staff and Commuter parking:  Enforcement begins Monday, August 24, at 7:30 AM. Vehicles must display the correct permit or have the correct parking permission linked to their license plate (Premium permits are digital).

Transit Services

• Transit service resumes Monday, August 24^th at 7:12AM, serving:
• Route 1, South Campus
• Route 2, Kentucky Street
• Paratransit is available Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. To register, contact Parking and Transportation Services at 270-745-2361.
• Topper Taxi On-Demand operates on Main Campus and South Campus Sunday – Thursday, 4:30PM – 9:00PM. Request service through the Translōc app using your WKU NetID. Download the app at www.transloc.com.
• View the transit overview and complete bus schedule at Transit | Western Kentucky University.

Parking Updates

• The H4 parking zone has been eliminated.
• The back row of Normal Street South Lot is designated as FS3.
• Jones Jaggers Lot is designated as H8 Housing.
• Campus Flats residents do not need a housing parking permit to park at Campus Flats. However, a parking permit is required for all additional campus parking. Residents may purchase any available housing permit.
