Angela Gott named to FCCLA National Board of Directors

Angela Gott, Instructor for the WKU Department of Applied Human Sciences, has been appointed to the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) National Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 term.
Gott will serve as Communications and Membership Committee Chair on the FCCLA Board of Directors and is the LEAD FCS Education Representative, bringing her expertise in FCS education, teacher preparation, and Career and Technical Education to the national organization.
FCCLA is a national Career and Technical Student Organization serving students through Family and Consumer Sciences education. The FCCLA National Board of Directors provides organizational leadership and establishes policy related to programs, personnel, and fiscal matters.
“I am honored to represent Family and Consumer Sciences education on the FCCLA National Board of Directors,” said Gott. “FCCLA has a tremendous impact on students by developing leadership, career readiness, communication, and real-world skills. I look forward to helping strengthen membership and communications while ensuring that the voices of students, advisers, educators, and the FCS profession and family remain central to FCCLA’s future.”
In her role at WKU, Gott prepares future FCS educators and works to strengthen the FCS education pipeline across Kentucky. Her national FCCLA service complements her ongoing commitment to developing highly qualified FCS teachers and creating meaningful leadership and career opportunities for students.
Gott’s appointment also strengthens the connection between WKU, Family and Consumer Sciences education, and FCCLA, providing an opportunity to elevate the contributions of FCS education and support the next generation of FCS professionals and student leaders.
About Angela Gott
Angela Gott is a Family and Consumer Sciences educator and teacher educator at Western Kentucky University. She has extensive experience in Family and Consumer Sciences education and Career and Technical Education and has served in leadership roles at the state and national levels. Her work focuses on preparing future FCS educators, strengthening the FCS profession, and expanding opportunities for students through FCS and CTE.
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization for students in Family and Consumer Sciences education. FCCLA helps students develop leadership, career readiness, communication, and practical skills through meaningful experiences that connect classroom learning to real-world challenges.
