Michael E. D’Eramo Appointed Community Scholar with WKU’s Institute for Rural Health

Michael E. D’Eramo, DHA, MHA, ACI, has accepted an appointment as a Community Scholar with the Institute for Rural Health (IRH) at Western Kentucky University. In this role, D’Eramo will collaborate with IRH on research, workforce, and strategic initiatives, contributing his expertise in healthcare administration and physician leadership. The appointment is designed to strengthen partnerships between academic and community health leaders to advance rural health across the region.
"I am incredibly honored to be the first appointment as Community Scholar with the Institute for Rural Health,” said D’Eramo. “It is my hope to provide some degree of academic contribution to a wonderfully evolving program within WKU’s College of Health and Human Services.”
Institute for Rural Health
The IRH is dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of rural and underserved populations in Kentucky through research, service, and education. Co-directed by Drs. Kim Link and Qingfang Song, the IRH leads several projects in the community, including partnerships with organizations such as the Barren River District Health Department.
