WKU is hosting the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit at Diddle Arena Saturday, March 28^th, Sunday, March 29^th and Saturday April 4^th.  This communication is only regarding information for this weekend, March 28^th and 29^th. Up to 100 large vehicles will be unloading/loading on Avenue of Champions and parking in the Creason Lot.  In support of this large regional event, the following parking, traffic, and transit changes are in effect.

PARKING & TRAFFIC CHANGES:

Friday, March 27^th, Saturday, March 28^th and Sunday, March 29^th

·        Creason Lot:  Areas P2 and P3 (See diagram below) close at 2:30PM Friday. Cars remaining in these areas at 4:30PM Friday will be relocated/towed to South Campus at owner’s expense. Areas P2 and P3 will remain closed until Sunday at approximately 7:00PM.

·        Ave of Champions:  All on-street parking will be coned off beginning at 4:30PM Friday. Cars remaining on Avenue of Champions after 4:30PM Friday will be relocated/towed to South Campus at owner’s expense.  On-street parking on AOC is prohibited until Sunday after loading is complete and bands have exited campus, approximately 7:00PM.

·        Parking Structure 2, 1^st floor closes to new entry at 4:30PM Friday and remains closed until Sunday at 7:00PM. The first floor must be completely cleared by 5:00PM Friday. Cars remaining in PS2, Level 1 after 5:00PM Friday will be relocated/towed to South Campus at owner’s expense.

·        Diddle North closes at 4:30PM Friday.  Cars remaining in the lot after 5:00PM will be relocated/towed to South Campus at owner’s expense. Diddle North remains closed until Sunday at approximately 7:00PM.

Saturday, March 28^th  

·         South Lawn closes 6:00AM – 12:00AM.

·         Diddle South closes 6:00AM – 12:00AM.

·         Diddle North closes 6:00AM – 12:00AM.

·         Avenue of Champions closes to thru traffic 6:00AM – 12:00AM.

Sunday, March 29^th  

·         South Lawn closes 6:00AM – 6:00PM.

·         Diddle South closes 6:00AM – 6:00PM.

·         Diddle North closes 6:00AM – 6:00PM.

·         Avenue of Champions closes to thru traffic 6:00AM – 6:00PM.

Additional Notes

·        During the times when Avenue of Champions is closed, no traffic will be allowed through. 

·         All H4 permit holders may access Poland Lot from PFT Loop. 

·        Displaced H9 permit holders will be able to park in Parking Structure 3, Adams Street Lot, Normal Street South Lot, University Blvd Lot, or Chestnut Street South Lot.

• Displaced FS2 permit holders will be allowed to park in Parking Structure 1. 

Parking Structures Open:

·        Parking Structure 1 and Parking Structure 2 will be open for free public parking (Excluding PS2, Level 1), beginning at 6:00AM Saturday morning and will stay open throughout the event.

TRANSIT CHANGES:

·         On-Demand service will be available Sunday evening per the existing schedule.
