WKU’s Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) inducted 49 new members to the society on Wednesday (Nov. 12).
The NSLS is an organization that provides a life-changing leadership program that helps students achieve personal growth, career success and empowers them to have a positive impact in their community.
With 868 chapters, the NSLS currently has 2,157,165 members nationwide. WKU’s NSLS chapter is led by Chapter President, Abby Smith, who worked on communicating with inductees throughout the semester and providing opportunities for students to meet the induction criteria.
WKU’s NSLS chapter is unique in that it gets students involved from WKU’s main campus but also from satellite campuses and online students. Many graduate students and non-traditional students participate as well. Because all induction criteria can be completed in person or online, NSLS expands opportunities for leadership development to those students who may not be able to attend sessions in person.
To be inducted, students participated in an orientation, a leadership training day, listened to at least three speaker broadcasts and developed SMART goals with success networking teams. In fall 2025, broadcasters included Oprah Winfrey, Matthew McConaughey and Sylvester Stallone.
