Stephanie Hile is an oboist and educator based in Louisville, Kentucky. She earned a Professional Studies Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Jeffrey Rathbun and received additional instruction from Frank Rosenwein. While at the Cleveland Institute of Music, she was awarded the John Mack Scholarship in Oboe, as well as first prize at the Darius Milhaud Chamber Music Competition. She holds both a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Louisville, where she studied with Dr. Jennifer Potochnic and served as the Graduate Teaching Assistant for the oboe studio.

Stephanie is an active performer, appearing frequently with the Louisville Orchestra, CityMusic Cleveland Chamber Orchestra, and she is also a substitute musician for the New World Symphony. She recently won a position with the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra. Stephanie has also appeared alongside The Cleveland Orchestra during the Kent Blossom Music Festival.

Equally dedicated to teaching, Stephanie maintains a private studio and an extensive teaching schedule. She is the oboe instructor at the Louisville Academy of Music, where she teaches students of all ages, and she regularly teaches oboe sectionals at middle and high schools throughout Louisville. Stephanie also serves as the oboe instructor for the Louisville Youth Wind Symphony and has taught oboe for several years at the University of Louisville Summer Wind Band Institute. Through her teaching, Stephanie is passionate about helping students develop their musicianship, confidence, and love for the oboe.
