Jefferson Tunks is a music educator, brass pedagogue, and actively performing trombonist. He currently holds the Professor of Trombone position at Western Kentucky University and serves as the general music teacher at St. Bernadette.
In addition to his teaching career, Jefferson enjoys performing frequently in regional orchestras, including Orchestra Kentucky and the Owensboro Symphony on tenor and bass trombone. As of August 2025, Jefferson has continued his education at the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, pursuing the Doctorate of Musical Arts in Music Performance.
Western Kentucky University is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music since 1948.
