Participates in all phases of archaeological field, laboratory, and report writing.  This includes field work, artifact processing and analysis, and report writing as needed. This is a full-time, one year appointment. Continuation is dependent upon funding/need.

The Project Director will execute a broad range of administrative, managerial, leadership, planning, and operational activities in support of the mission of the South Central AHEC and the WKU CPR Training Center. This position leads the South Central KY AHEC by overseeing staff, managing grants and budgets, building regional partnerships, and developing programs across a 22-county service area.

The South Central KY AHEC Project Director is a grant funded position. Continuation of the position is contingent upon the successful procurement of external grants. This is an in-person position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Works closely with the Kentucky AHEC Program office to accomplish center goals including, but not limited to, student clinical training, continuing education programming, community health education, health careers recruitment activities, and special projects.
• Supervises department staff, student interns, and contractual employees.
• Applies for and implements grants that further the mission the center.
• Develops and manages budgets for the South Central KY AHEC office and the WKU CPR Training Center ensuring compliance with university and grant policies.
• Collects data and prepares reports for federal, state, and foundation grants.
• Identifies healthcare workforce training needs in the South Central KY AHEC region and works to establish programs/services to address those needs.
• Collaborates with universities and AHECs across the region and country to develop programs for healthcare profession students.
• Establishes and maintains partnerships throughout the service region to develop, implement, and evaluate healthcare career pathway programs.
• Coordinates health career programs including, but not limited to the State Registered Nurse Aide course, interprofessional test prep course, and the medical interpreter training.
• Coordinates the South Central KY AHEC advisory board and related activities.

The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky seeks qualified candidates for the position of Residential Counselor. The Gatton Academy is a public residential STEM program established and funded by the Kentucky legislature. It is located on the campus of Western Kentucky University. Students complete their last two years of high school in the program while earning at least 60 hours of college credit. This is a 10-month live-in position that reports to the Assistant Director of Residential Life. Gatton staff are employees of WKU.

• Creates and manages a safe, healthy, and nurturing living/learning environment within the residence hall.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs general plumbing repair to include installing, maintaining and repairing valves, faucets, traps and other sanitary fixtures, as well as maintaining piping systems by opening clogged drains and replacing washers on leaky faucets
• Performs routine preventative maintenance to the interior of buildings such as installing/changing various lamps and ballasts in building light fixtures and laying floor tile and installing ceiling tile to ensure the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend trainings or Training of Trainers to learn how to present preservice and mandatory trainings for foster parents as scheduled by region or Training Branch.
• Partner with R&C team to determine which scheduled preservice or mandatory training you are available to help train.
• Maintain regular communication with the regional R&C team regarding training schedule/needs.
• Strategically share your experience using the skills/knowledge presented in a training as a foster/adoptive parent.
• Defer to R&C team for responses to questions regarding policy during training.
• Work up to 80 hours per month and document this time on a biweekly timesheet.  Failure to submit the timesheet in a timely manner will result in lack of or delay in pay.
• Stay up-to-date with timesheets and reimbursement paperwork.
• Communicate any training needs or supports to coordinator.

• One year DCBS experience with foster/adoptive children.  Applicants from Private Child Care providers may be considered if they meet all other requirements and have adopted from Kentucky's foster care system and thus are an approved DCBS adoptive parent.
• Current foster and/or adoptive parent in good standing with DBCS.  
• Not be a DCBS Protection & Permanency employee.
• Comfortable with public speaking and possess the ability to learn how to present trainings to an audience of foster/adoptive/kinship parents
