Alexis KentAlexis Kent

Winner of the Gwyneth B. Davis Pre Law Scholarship

Alexis grew up in Cadiz, KY and will graduate WKU in May 2020. An interesting fact about her is that she was on a dance team since she was 5 years old. She decided to study Forensic Psychology and Legal Studies at WKU because she wanted to not only know about the legal system but also be equipped with abilities to one day impact it in a positive way. Alexis’s favorite thing about studying Forensic Psychology and Legal Studies (including her legal history classes) at WKU is the professors are truly committed to helping their students achieve their goals after graduation. One of her favorite quotes she came across in her studies is from Modern Jurisprudence by Sean Coyle: “we confront the world from a standpoint that is inescapably human.” Alexis will attend University of Kentucky College of Law this fall and thinks studying the law is a study of human nature and the law could benefit from a dose of humanity from time to time.

Congratulations Alexis!
