Graduate Program

The Department of History offers a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in History through its graduate program. The M.A. program is designed to prepare students for the teaching of history on the junior and senior college level and to provide the initial graduate work for those who intend to pursue a doctoral degree (Ph.D.).

The History Department also participates in the Master of Arts in Education (M.A.E.) program. The M.A.E. program is designed to enhance the preparation of secondary teachers of history who desire to meet certification requirements.
