Kentucky Regional Meeting 2023

Western Kentucky University

April 14-15

On 14-15 April 2023, the Department of History at Western Kentucky University hosted the KY Regional Phi Alpha Theta Conference for 2023. Twenty-seven students from eleven regional institutions presented papers in a friendly and professional environment. The Department and our Phi Alpha Theta chapter (Eta-Pi) express our gratitude to everyone for their contributions to making the event a success.
 
We would also like to congratulate the following winners of paper prizes for our conference:

Best undergraduate paper:
Ava Gyurcsik, University of Cincinnati: “’Tis Woman, Woman Rules Us Still': The Roles of Royal Women during the early English Reformation”
 
Runners-up for best undergraduate paper (in alphabetical order):

Haley Pettit, Eastern Kentucky University: "'We...should have been the pioneers in this great reform': Mormon Leadership Strategies during Utah's Prohibition Movement"
