Hardin reappointed to Kentucky African American Heritage Commission

Gov. Steve Beshear has reappointed Dr. John A. Hardin, history professor at WKU, to the Kentucky African American Heritage Commission.
Dr. Hardin, who represents preservation communities, will be the vice chair of the commission. His term expires Feb. 1, 2017. His initial appointment was in 2007.
Howard Bailey, vice president for Student Affairs at WKU, is also on the commission.
The mission of the Kentucky African American Heritage Commission it to identify and promote awareness of significant African American influences upon the history and culture of Kentucky and to support and encourage the preservation of Kentucky African American heritage and historic sites.
