BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU’s annual Football Fan Fest will have a new location this year as head coach Jeff Brohm and his team welcome Hilltopper Nation into Diddle Arena on Saturday, August 15 from 2 to 4 p.m., for the annual kickoff event.
Highlighted by an autographs and interactive stations with the entire 2015 Hilltopper football squad, it will be a carnival atmosphere inside Diddle Arena with inflatables, face painting, balloon artists and more.
While inside Diddle Arena, Hilltopper fans can also take a tour of the locker rooms and see where their favorite Hilltopper men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball players, as well as football players, get ready for action complete with jerseys in each locker.
The first 500 fans in the door can also take advantage of free ice cream provided by Chaney’s Dairy Barn as well as free popcorn.
It will also be the first major public opportunity to pick up a 2015 WKU Football schedule poster, featuring Brohm and six Hilltopper student-athletes.
Landshark Shredding will also be on hand to help Hilltopper fans, “Shred for Red”, where you can bring an opposing team’s piece of apparel to shred and receive a free ticket to a home football game of your choosing.
The annual “NFL Punt, Pass and Kick” event is also back as well and will take place inside Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith, and as always, parking and admission is completely free. Fans can park in both parking garages around Diddle Arena and enter through the US Bank entrance, near the WKU Ticket Office.
Travis Hudson and his reigning C-USA champion volleyball team will also be on-hand from 2 to 3 p.m. to sign autographs and will host their intersquad scrimmage from 3 to 5 p.m.
WKU was picked by the league’s media members last week to win the C-USA’s East Division as the Tops return 16 starters from last year’s Popeyes Bahamas Bowl Champion squad.
