Description: WKU faculty and professional staff members are invited to attend, "Stepping Toward a Trans-Inclusive Campus," facilitated by guest speaker Mr. Ryan Sallans. Mr. Ryan Sallans is a public speaker, diversity trainer, and consultant specializing in health care, campus inclusion, and workplace issues surrounding Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer/Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual community. This two-hour session will review basic terminology and concepts surrounding sexuality and gender, and address barriers on campus affecting trans-identified students. This session is designed to help professional staff members develop action steps and plans for fostering an open, accepting and accommodating campus culture toward transgender-identified students.
